Laura Lee & The Jettes (AT), Bob Bledy, No Berlin (DE)

19:30

Laura Lee is a Berlin-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and performer. She first gained international recognition as one half of the acclaimed indie duo Gurr, with whom she toured alongside Arcade Fire, The Strokes, and Kraftklub, and won the IMPALA European Album of the Year Award (2018).

In 2020, she founded her new project Laura Lee & The Jettes, carving out her personal vision of indie rock, blending grunge textures with krautpop influences. Their debut album Wasteland (2021) was accompanied by appearances on BBC 6 Music and NPR, a first US tour, and support shows for the Beatsteaks – including two sold-out nights at Berlin’s Wuhlheide, which Lee played while eight months pregnant.

Beyond her band work, Laura composed music for the ZDF film Nicht tot zu kriegen (starring Iris Berben), contributed to Schauspiel Leipzig (Meister und Margarita), and was the subject of the Vice documentary 6 Hours with Laura Lee. She is also an active member of Keychange, a global initiative supporting the visibility of women and underrepresented groups in the music industry.
